Receiving Dermal Filler treatments is a great way to restore volume loss and enhance features. Dermal Fillers are typically made with a gel-like substance that contains hyaluronic acid, attracting and binding water to the skin. This results in more hydrated and plumped skin. We provide a specialized treatment plan for each patient, and pride ourselves in making patients feel as comfortable as possible during treatment. Dermal fillers can last anywhere from 6-12 months, depending on the individual. We recommend renewing treatment every six months, though frequency may vary depending on the area treated. Patients can do dermal fillers at any time if in a new area.
Two weeks prior to treatment, we ask patients to refrain from blood thinners to reduce the risk of bruising. During the procedure, we provide topical and localized numbing to minimize discomfort. Using a thin needle, our nurse injector injects small amounts of fillers under the skin. The needle will pinch or sting, but most people don’t experience much pain during these injections. The procedure typically lasts about an hour. We offer complimentary nitrous gas to help patients feel relaxed during treatment. At the end of the procedure we also give patients the chance to clear their heads with oxygen. Physical and electronic post-care instructions are provided to each patient immediately following treatment.
